Beginner Level
Students will learn American Sign Language vocabulary for family relationships and then sign the song "The More We Get Together". Students need no prior experience or knowledge. I'll show and explain hand signs and repeat for greater retention. Class length is 13 mins. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!

Learning Needs
ASL helps students with ADHD and autism by reinforcing vocabulary. Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for special education learners.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool, elementary, and middle school students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga.
