The goal is for learners to familiarize themselves with how to communicate basic things in ASL through dialogue form; learning the vocabulary straight from the dialogue then practicing sentences with the vocab. Then forming dialogue with the sentences. This not only encourages the student to use ASL right away, but reinforces the vocabulary, basic grammar and the confidence to communicate in a foreign language.
Graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a Bachelor's of Science in American Sign Language Interpretation. I've tutored in person from 2018-2019, and have taught in person and online from 2019-currently.
Homework Offered
Home work will be assigned each week and will be reviewed every other class meeting. Homework will be either translating 10 English sentences to ASL, or 10 ASL sentences to English. Homework will be reviewed in class. Any challenges or homework questions will be gone over in class as well.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
