ASL has been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. Please note, I am not a sign language teacher or interpreter, but I have completed two semesters of sign language courses, as well as ongoing self-study. As a public school teacher, I taught an ASL mini-course to middle school aged students, focusing on fingerspelling, vocabulary practice, and interpreting short songs.
There are so many ASL resources out there from books to YouTube videos to other Outschool classes. I encourage anyone interested in sign language to keep learning! It's a fascinating topic to study.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
