Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner Level
This 4-week, self-paced class allows you to learn American Sign Language vocabulary as you explore the world of birds. Learn ASL as you explore different types of birds and their characteristics, habitats, food, and behaviors. Sign two songs about birds. Class length varies from 14-19 mins. Classes integrate The Virginia Standards of Learning for science. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. Experience ASL through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. ASL is perfect for most learning styles. It incorporates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning techniques. Plus, I'll incorporate stuffed animals in one class for heightened engagement. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!
