In this one-time class, students will learn their ABCs American Sign Language (ASL) by playing recall games and learning the ABC song in ASL. This class is also beneficial for hand exercise and finger movement.
Class experience
This is an introductory beginner class. No prior ASL knowledge needed. In this one-time 30-minute class students will learn the alphabet in ASL! This is a fun and interactive class that will have learners engaged and work and retain their skills and knowledge of the ASL letters. Learners will interact with peers and the teacher, showing the correct letter sign being given and games to help with knowledge fluency. This class is taught in English.
By the end of class, students will learn the ABC alphabet in ASL which will provide the base foundation for learning other signs and how to figure spell out words! The goal of this class is for students to gain knowledge of American Sign Language and to aid them with basic non-verbal communication skills. This class will also provide students with a foundation in ASL that they can further develop.
I love learning and teaching ASL! I have taken 3 university-level ASL courses and love learning new signs and all about the deaf community and deaf culture.
