These self-paced classes allows you to learn American Sign Language vocabulary as you make recipes with apples. Learn to make apple cider, apple scrap vinegar, and apple pie through ASL. Classes range from 10-30 minutes. Experience ASL through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!

Learning Needs
ASL helps students with multiple learning needs by reinforcing vocabulary. Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for special education learners.
Parental Guidance
Some recipes may require parental assistance if using an oven, knife, or food processor. Always ask parents for permission to use these items. Follow instructions carefully if you are preparing food with me.
Supply List
You don't have to make the recipes with me. But if you would like, check out the ingredients for each recipe. Apple Cider: apples, water, milling spices or clove/nutmeg/cardamom, cinnamon stick, sugar. Apple Scrap Vinegar: glass jar, apple scraps, water, sugar, optional- apple cider vinegar, rosemary. Apple Pie: apples, cinnamon, flour, sugar, butter, cornstarch, water, vinegar, brown sugar, optional- blueberries

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. I also teach ASL in my Kids Yoga, Baby Toddler Me Yoga, and Baby Connections classes. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
