Beginner Level
Little Signers ASL & Science integrates American Sign Language and science in fun, theme-based classes. Learn about animal habitats, food, predator-prey, lifestyles, roles, and ways to protect species. We'll explore frogs, spiders, bees, dolphins, and elephants through signs, songs, and books. Class length varies from 10-40 mins. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. Experience ASL vocabulary through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. ASL: Frogs
Learn ASL vocabulary through the life cycles of frogs. Students will learn the characteristics, habitats, behaviors, and threats to frogs through ASL vocabulary. Sign the book, "A Frog's Life".

Learn ASL vocabulary as you discover the world of spiders. Explore their characteristics, habitats, food, and predators. Sign "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".

Learning Needs
Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for students with ADHD and autism. ASL increases vocabulary and retention with its kinesthetic and tactile experience.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
