One time meeting, students will learn the ABCs in American Sign Language and how to sign and recognize their name.
Class experience
Students will learn through signing their ABCs with the webcam and receive feedback on their signing quality for letters. This is strictly finger spelling, not ASL grammar or usage technique. We can also discuss how the deaf community develops name signs rather than finger spelling names. If time permits we will discuss and learn some basic signs used to introduce yourself, learn the days of the week, and some very basic phrases and important words.
