What's included
1 live meeting
20 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Each week we will learn about a new work of art and the artist who created it. Where its found, its impact on history and fun facts that get conversations flowing. Students will practice describing, looking, and active viewing with peers while learning about a work of art from history. Our class will start with describing the art. What do you see? Pretend I can't see it? Can you paint me a word picture? How does it make you feel? Thinking about art on an individual level. As we learn we will also look at the works impact on history and art such as events that may have made it more or less popular. No two weeks will be the same. We will cover well-known art and lesser-known artists. We will explore different cultures, countries, and mediums. From Ancient to Modern. Please review the list of selected works so you are aware of what your student will learn about. If you would like to schedule a special time or request a specific work of art please message me. See the schedule below for what art we are looking at for each class. Class Date Updated Week Please message to start a new time section I'm happy to do so.
