Class Experience
Each week we will learn about a new work of art and the artist who created it. Where its found, its impact on history and fun facts that get conversations flowing. Students will practice describing, looking, and active viewing with peers while learning about a work of art from history. Our class will start with describing the art. What do you see? Pretend I can't see it? Can you paint me a word picture? How does it make you feel? Thinking about art on an individual level. As we learn we...
Students will learn about a different work of art each week including its material, artist, time, culture, and history.
I am an art history professor and teach college students. There are many works of art I would love to share with students. Take a step into my college class with looks at art from around the world and throughout history.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
