Arts & Crafts with Mrs. Morris: Watercolor Salt Pumpkin!
In this fall themed arts & crafts class, we will be making a pumpkin. We will use glue, salt and watercolor paints to complete this craft. We will also look at photos and learn facts about pumpkins in a slideshow format.

In this arts & crafts class we will be making a cute pumpkin! This pumpkin is fun and different, because it is raised and textured due to the salt we'll use. We will begin by "drawing" our pumpkin shape with a glue bottle. We'll pour salt over our pumpkin, allowing the salt to stick to the glue and creating the raised textured art. Lastly, we will use watercolor paints to add color to our pumpkin. For this craft, we do need to use watercolor paper or cardstock (thick) paper. Regular paper will not dry properly. *In my craft/art classes no experience is necessary. I let learners know that each of us are unique artists therefore our art will not look identical. I encourage individual style and that we can embrace our art even if there are imperfections.* **Please feel free to send a date/time request for a class you're interested in. I do schedule out classes in advance but I am flexible to switch that around if there are no conflicting enrollments.**

Parental Guidance
Parental supervision may be needed for pouring of salt, however I will give clear instructions to keep it as clean/simple as possible.
Supply List
-Watercolor paper (or other thick art paper) -Glue bottle (not a glue stick) -Salt (may be a good idea to put salt in a cup or measuring spoon for easy pouring) -Paper plate/bowl/baking pan/trash can (somewhere to pour off excess salt) -Watercolor paint (orange, green, brown) -Cup of water -Paint brush
