In this arts & crafts class we will work step by step together to paint 3 roses and leaves. This is an easy painting, however we will learn/practice the power of paint brush strokes and mixing paint colors.

In this art class, we will be learning to paint 3 roses and leaves. As shown in my class picture, this is not an extremely realistic and detailed rose. It is a simple painting and maybe even "abstract" but with the help of paint brush strokes and mixed paint colors, our roses are still intricate and beautiful. We will begin with our base color and work on the shape, then add the same color again but with some white mixed in, and then add pops of white. We'll learn that the combination of paint brush strokes and the pops of white paint give a lot of "easy" but effective detail to our flowers. This class is suitable for a beginner level artist but would also be enjoyable for an intermediate level artist! I let learners know that each of us are unique artists therefore our art will not look identical. I encourage individual style and that we can embrace our art even if there are imperfections. **Please feel free to send a date/time request for a class you're interested in. I do schedule out classes in advance but I am flexible to switch that around if there are no conflicting enrollments.**

-Paper (preferably thicker paper like art mixed media) -2 to 3 paint colors -White paint -Green paint -Paint tray or paper plate -3 paint brushes
