Arts & Crafts with Mrs. Morris: Penguin!
In this arts & crafts class we will cut out and construct this penguin. We will cut out an oval body and hearts for the face, beak, and feet. We will lastly glue googly eyes to finish. We'll learn fun facts about penguins in a slideshow.

In this class we will be making an adorable penguin. As a teacher I love to have my students learn about the craft we are doing. We will have a slideshow to learn fun facts about penguins. For the craft, we will cut out a black oval shape for the body. We will then cut out a white heart shape for the face/body, & orange hearts for the beak and feet. To easily cut out our hearts, we will fold our paper in half and cut out a half shape of a heart. When the paper is unfolded, we will have a full symmetrical heart. These pieces will all be glued together, and then we will glue on our two googly eyes. Learners will need to know how to use scissors and glue. If time allows, we will play a fun game at the end of class. *In my craft/art classes no experience is necessary. I let learners know that each of us are unique artists therefore our art will not look identical. I encourage individual style and that we can embrace our art even if there are imperfections.* **Please feel free to send a date/time request for a class you're interested in. I do schedule out classes in advance but I am flexible to switch that around if there are no conflicting enrollments.**

I offer both cooking and baking classes that meet every other week. Baking and cooking are two skills that are important to learn, but fun and rewarding as well! To make a meal or baked goods for your family/friends to enjoy is one of the best feelings, and I love to help my learners experience that feeling. It's also a great opportunity to branch out of our comfort zone and try new recipes!
