In this art class we will work step by step together to paint birch trees with fall colored leaves. We will begin class by looking at photos and learning facts about birch trees and then start on our painting.
Class Experience
In this art class we will be painting white/cream birch trees with fall foliage. Where I live, we have plenty of scenic drives full of birch trees so I have a personal passion for these beautiful trees! However they’re the star of the show during the fall season, and a great tree to learn to paint! We will work step by step as a class to paint a few birch trees, with a “zoomed in” point of view. Adding fall foliage with red, orange and yellow paint will emphasize the season that we’re in!...
-Light blue or black construction paper (trees are white so white paper will not work. You could also pre-paint a canvas and use that!) -Paint brush -Paint brush that’s more of a square shape or jagged or even has some leftover paint that’s hardened -White or cream paint -Black paint -Red paint -Orange paint -Yellow paint -Paint tray or paper plate if needed
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
