This class meets 1 hour per day for 4 consecutive days. We will be making craft projects featuring a summer theme. Socialization is highly encouraged and students are asked to keep their cameras and microphones on. Day 1: Arts and Crafts Summer Camp kicks off with a lesson using a graphite transfer. Learners will then use a graphite transfer to create a painted sign or canvas. Day 2: A lesson in material choice, light, and textures. We will upcycle a common plastic item to turn it into "glass art" inspired by a famous artist! Day 3: It's all about scale and dimension, Learners will build a tent for stuffed animals. Day 4: Camp concludes with a lesson on color and shading. We will create an optical illusion. Come have a great time socializing, crafting, and having fun while we enjoy Summer! This class is designed to give tweens an opportunity to relax, create, and socialize. Each class will begin with the teacher giving an art lesson and then step-by-step instruction for creating a new craft project. Once the project begins, learners are asked to unmute and leave cameras on. Socialization is highly encouraged. We will learn basic crafting skills such as, hand sewing, painting, beading, jewelry making, clay, and many more. Most craft projects will require minimum supplies and we try to keep supply costs under $5 per project.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern State University
Hello! My name is Ms Lauren Kimberly Iseley and I live in Oklahoma, USA. I am a mother of a 22 year old and a 15 year old. I home schooled both of my children from kindergarten to college. I love teaching and I am known for being very patient and encouraging.
I hold a degree in Accounting and a degree in Business Administration (Quantitative Analysis).
I really enjoy crafting and being super-creative! Creativity helps expand our minds and helps us solve everyday problems with "out of the box" solutions. Creativity is something that needs to be nurtured in every child.
I also teach math. If your student is struggling in math, it is most likely because they aren't having fun learning! Consider this....you can remember the words to a song but you can't remember basic math calculations. That is because the songs were set to music and your brain associated the song with fun....I teach math based on this principle.
I am an award-winning cake artist and love crafting and baking. I am excited to get to know your student and help them achieve their goals!
