In this one-time class, we'll make thank you notes using white crayons and watercolors. This is a simple and fun project to show gratitude and thank loved ones for their generosity at this time of year! 🎨 We'll start class with a warm welcome and learners will be invited to share what they would like to thank people for (gifts, time with loved ones, anything that has brought them joy!). There is no pressure to share if they don't want to though! 🎨 To make our cards, we'll start by tracing the words "Thank You" with white crayon. We'll talk about how the watercolor paints won't paint where we write with crayon. 🎨 Next, we'll use watercolor paints to paint over the words we traced and watch them appear like magic! The colors for the cards are completely customizable, so learners are encouraged to use whichever colors they like and to be creative and make it their own. 🎨 We'll repeat this process for as many cards as they would like to make. A template will be included to print, so grownups can print as many cards for their learner as they like. I am a patient and positive teacher and I truly believe that everyone can create art! I love seeing learners build their confidence and have fun creating something they're proud of. Also, as a former shy kid myself, I am very understanding of learners who take some time to warm up and there is no pressure in my classes to talk if that isn't comfortable yet. All are welcome here!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from The University of Florida
Hello! My name is Ms. Suzanne and I love teaching arts and crafts to young artists. I believe everyone can be an artist! I love working with kids and have done so as a daycare teacher, nanny, school volunteer, and as a mom to my own three kids. I have a BA in linguistics from the University of Florida and I've been doing arts and crafts for as long as I can remember (I even ran my own Etsy shop for awhile!). When I teach arts and crafts projects to young learners, I believe in giving them lots of encouragement to try new things and make mistakes. Everyone's art will be a little different, and not only is that ok, it's amazing!
