Beginner Level
In this one-time class, we'll paint a beautiful garden, step-by-step! 🎨 We'll start class with a warm welcome and icebreaker question, then we'll move on to our painting! 🎨 We'll begin by painting grass and stems of all different heights. 🎨 After painting our stems, I'll teach how to paint a few different kinds of simple flowers. We aren't going for perfect flowers, just fun and colorful! Then, we'll add some leaves to fill in any blank space. 🎨 Finally, we'll add a simple fence made from strips of paper. I am a patient and positive teacher and I truly believe that everyone can create art! I love seeing learners build their confidence and have fun creating something they're proud of. Everyone's finished product will be different and we celebrate those differences! Also, as a former shy kid myself, I am very understanding of learners who take some time to warm up and there is no pressure in my classes to talk if that isn't comfortable yet. All are welcome here! There is no experience required for this class- beginners welcome!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from The University of Florida
Hello! My name is Ms. Suzanne and I love teaching arts and crafts to young artists. I believe everyone can be an artist! I love working with kids and have done so as a daycare teacher, nanny, school volunteer, and as a mom to my own three kids. I have a BA in linguistics from the University of Florida and I've been doing arts and crafts for as long as I can remember (I even ran my own Etsy shop for awhile!). When I teach arts and crafts projects to young learners, I believe in giving them lots of encouragement to try new things and make mistakes. Everyone's art will be a little different, and not only is that ok, it's amazing!
