In this one time class, learners will use washable paints and q-tips to create a colorful dandelion painting. I have the dandelion stems ready for a grownup to print and the young artists will be adding the fluffy seeds in colors of their choosing. Learners are invited to share their completed work at the end of class (if they want to- no pressure!). As we work, we'll learn some fun facts about dandelions as well as discuss our favorite colors and what colors we chose to use for our dandelions. This project is perfect for pre-k and kindergarten aged learners, as the technique used is simple and the end result is so much fun! I'm a laid back teacher who gives lots of encouragement as we go. I love when learners make a project their own and we celebrate the differences in our end products. The goal of this class is to have fun, make art, and build confidence in being creative! This project shouldn't require much assistance from grownups, but I do recommend that learners have a grownup nearby supervising.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from The University of Florida
Hello! My name is Ms. Suzanne and I love teaching arts and crafts to young artists. I believe everyone can be an artist! I love working with kids and have done so as a daycare teacher, nanny, school volunteer, and as a mom to my own three kids. I have a BA in linguistics from the University of Florida and I've been doing arts and crafts for as long as I can remember (I even ran my own Etsy shop for awhile!). When I teach arts and crafts projects to young learners, I believe in giving them lots of encouragement to try new things and make mistakes. Everyone's art will be a little different, and not only is that ok, it's amazing!
