Class Experience

Learners will be guided step by step on how to make a fire truck. We will practice identifying shapes and colors, cutting, gluing, and following directions. Learners are welcome to bring any fire truck toys they have. We will have a brief show and tell time at the end of class if time allows. Please be near your learner during class in case they need assistance.

To ensure a successful class for your learner, please make sure you have all the supplies ready at the beginning of class -- see the “Supply List” section below.

Parental supervision is needed for the use of scissors.

Supply List

Please have these supplies ready at the start of class:
•	Yellow construction paper
•	Red construction paper
•	Black construction paper
•	White paper
•	Pencil
•	Black marker
•	Something circular that is 2-3 inches in diameter to trace (a milk jug cap usually works great)
•	Child-safe scissors
•	Glue stick

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

About Me: I have been working with kids for over 10 years now! I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and K-12 special education. I have taught special education in school for 3 years and now have been teaching online for 5 years. I take great joy in helping students become responsible and independent! 

I currently live in South Dakota, USA with my husband, 5 year-old daughter, and 3 year-old son. We enjoy going for walks to the park together, making homemade pizza, boating on the lake, and spending time with family!
