This is a social drawing class where learners will learn how to draw characters from the hit game step-by-step, creating their own skins and poses inspired by the indie-game hit. The class will lead with teacher demonstration for learners to follow, followed by opportunities for each learner to discuss the game as well as execute and share their own ideas with the class. Art topics covered will include color choice, the sketching and inking process, and iteration in design Game discussion may include: favorites parts of the game, anecdotes about play, sharing strategies for crewmates and imposters.
Learners must have: a drawing surface (such as paper), an erasable drawing tools (such as a pencil), and a permanent drawing tool (such as a sharpie pen). Learners may also use digital drawing tools, such as Procreate, for this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
