This is a social drawing class where learners will learn how to draw characters from the hit game step-by-step, creating their own skins and poses inspired by the indie-game hit. The class will lead with teacher demonstration for learners to follow, followed by opportunities for each learner to discuss the game as well as execute and share their own ideas with the class. Prior experience with drawing is not required, but is recommended. This class is media neutral: learners may use whatever drawing tools they wish to use (pencils, drawing tablets, etc.), but it recommended that they have an erasable tool (such as a pencil) and a permanent ink tool (sharpie or marker), or use a digital drawing program such as procreate in order to best make use of this class' instruction.
Learning Goals
Art topics covered will include color choice, the sketching and inking process, and iteration in design
Game discussion may include: favorites parts of the game, anecdotes about play, sharing strategies for crewmates and imposters.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm an educator with a background in many creative and academic subjects, but my true passion is digital media. I teach classes on both paid and free digital media programs, from Photoshop CC to Alchemy Vector Graphics, and how to use these programs to build fundamental art skills.
I have an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts as well as a Masters in Education, and have been working for the past 3 years teaching art itself as well as using art to teach other subjects, such as history and science. I believe art is the common thread that ties all academic subjects together, which is why I've chosen to focus my efforts of developing it.
