Article of the Week: Advanced Analysis and "They Say, I Say" Writing with Nonfiction Texts
Way more than just reading comprehension! Middle school students and early high school students (6th-9th) deep dive into nonfiction analysis, context, and the craft of writing! All texts are read outside of class and discussed in class.

Description
Class Experience
Through the exploration of high-interest texts, students will learn new vocabulary, analysis skills, annotation skills, comprehension, fluency, paragraph writing, and more!
Follow-up quiz or paragraph writing will be given, but is optional.
All materials will be supplied
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Articles do not have any explicit content. They are appropriate for middle schoolers and are science/history/world events based. Many articles are from Scholastic, Nat Geo, or other reputable sources.
