Class Experience

Artfully Written classes combine engaging and inspiring children's literature with art.  In this 90 minute class learners will listen to different stories from regions all around the world.  They will be introduced to information of geographical areas and countries near and far.  Learners should feel inspired to create a piece of directed art based on the story.

This class will focus on Australian Animals and Aboriginal dot art from Australia and learn a folktale from this region.  They will create a piece of dot art using a silhouette of a native Australian animal.

Students will learn about Australia and discover animals, art concepts, silhouettes and dot painting techniques.

Supply List
Brown Constructions Paper, Pencil with Eraser, Q-Tips, Paint (acrylic or temperate), water, cup, paper towels or rag. A handout will be available to print and have for class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
