Journaling brings confidence because it builds an outlet for all ages to have time creating and putting ideas, thoughts and emotions down on paper. Journals can either be shared or kept private, it is the students choice each class if they want to discuss or just keep to themselves creating. Art journaling is endless with options as it is created either as a theme to each journal or each page being unique as the students create a page. Anything can be added to the pages either with color...
This class is taught in English.
For students to find collage journaling as a personal outlet, a special time for them to relax and get their thoughts and creative ideas on paper.
Supplies and journal formats are open and can be anything. Such as a old books, newspapers made into a books, blank journal books. I suggest if student wants to add water and glue to their pages. Try and find a heavier paper stock so it won't tear as easy when wet. Mixed Media spiral journals work great also. Ideas for supplies: Scissors Glue / Glue Stick Markers Pens Sharpies, Markers Pencils of all sorts Paint & Paintbrushes Markers Tissue Paper Magazines - Ideas are Better Homes & Gardens, Animal related, Travel and Cooking magazines Newspapers Colored Construction Paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
