Students will art making techniques in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture.
Students will learn about the work of artists from around the world.
Students will create artwork using their own ideas.
Students will be familiar with a variety of science concepts.
I am a certified Visual Arts teacher in Virginia (USA), and have over 20 years of art-teaching experience, from ages 4 to 18.  As a practicing artist, I have work in private and corporate collections here in the US.  I have been teaching art on Outschool since 2020.
Homework Offered
Young artists will spend varying amounts of time exploring resources in the classroom and working on their artwork.
Assessments Offered
Learner progress is assessed informally through participation in the classroom and sharing photos of finished artworks. A personalized Certificate of Completion will be shared as a PDF.
Grades Offered
 1 file available upon enrollment
White paper for drawing and painting, 9 x 12" or a similar size Color construction paper Card stock, tag board, poster board, or similar stiff paper for building Pencil and eraser Markers, crayons, colored pencils, and/or oil pastels Ruler Scissors Glue Tape Watercolor paint and brushes Model magic or homemade salt dough (recipe will be shared)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parental guidance is suggested while learners are using scissors, paint and glue.
