Do you wanna to tap into your creative potential using this 21st century art form? Can you just not get enough of the amazing program of Procreate learning at your convenience and pace? If so than this class is for you! In this course, learners will focus on a different technique using the program Procreate on a weekly basis. We will discuss tools, toolbar, use of layers, brushes, color palettes, and layer tool, animation, selection tools, drawing guides, importing photos, painting technique, color palettes and more. Artist, Amy Pollman will introduce a different technique each week and take the learners through a step by step process of learning that technique via video. Learners will then create their own artwork using the technique discussed. Ms. Amy is a certified Art Educator and the class will infuse with the fundamentals of art while learning the program of Procreate. Learners can share their finished artwork and constructive feedback will be encouraged between peers and instructor. This is a beginner level all hands-on workshop with lots of learning as you go! (Please be aware any of the classes may rearranged or personalized to your learners interests) Message me for more details! Section 1: Week 1: The Basics- Let's take an introductory tour of some of the widely used tools in Procreate. After you can make an artwork utilizing the tools discussed Week 2: Picture Perfect Portraits: Let's learn about how to construct an image using layers and fill color techniques using a photo reference as a guide. Week 3: Pixel Art: Let's go OLD SCHOOL and learn how to create a pixel brush and then make an artwork inspired by this early digital art technique Week 4: Folk Art Designs: Let's explore the drawing correction tools and symmetry drawing guide tools to create a stunning Scandinavian Folk Art illustration. You'd be surprised how easily you can achieve a professional looking creation! Section 2: Week 1: Cubist Illustration: We will be discussing how to create a cubist illustration style in Procreate. Let's learn a little bit about what Cubism is and then explore some techniques on how to break up our picture plane in this design oriented style. Week 2: Painting with Procreate: We will be discussing how you can use Procreate in an expressive and painterly way. We will look at some examples, discuss some techniques and then you will create your own painterly inspired artwork on your digital canvas! Week 3: Art Deco Poster Design: Let's think about graphic layouts, color schemes and images with text as we learn about the work of Edward Mucha and his turn of the 20th century style. Week 4: Sequential Art: Let's make an artwork which utilizes the animation tools. We can learn about how sequential art functions and then create our own moving story! Week 3: TBA

In addition to being a world traveled artist and educator, Amy Pollman has a MFA and MED in Art Education. She is a certified Visual Arts Teacher K-12 from the Ohio Department of Education. Currently she is a University Mentor of Art Education at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and also is an Instructor of Art at Monroe County Community College in Monroe, MI. She recently returned from China where she was teaching Art as a method of language development. For the past twenty years, she has taught students all over the world from Kindergarten to College. She is knowledgeable, resourceful, passionate about art making.
