Class Experience

In this Flexible Class you will learn lots of different things about Flowers, create art and have fun doing different activities.

PLEASE NOTE - that this class does not meet live, it is a flexible class, so lessons are pre-recorded.

If your child is below or above the age range that’s fine just let me know when you sign up. For younger children you may need to help them.

Each week I will post my interactive classroom, which will include information about flowers, a video art demonstration and activities. It also includes a fun Kahoot challenge about wild flowers.

Here is a breakdown of what you will do each week:-

Week 1
Learn - Parts of a flower.
Art - Draw and paint a watercolor flower, inspired by the famous artist Georgia O'Keffee (a video of me demonstrating will be provided for you to follow along).
Activity - Use what you've learnt to label a flower and other fun activity sheets.

Week 2
Learn - About wild flowers.
Art - Print out wild flower pictures, then make into a book and color them in.
Activity - Scavenger Hunt, go looking for different wild flowers and record them in your wild flower book (this will depend on the time of year and where you live).

Week 3
Learn - About bee's and how they help flowers grow.
Art - Create a Bee and flower collage (a video of me demonstrating will be provided for you to follow along).
Activity - A flower word search.

Week 4
Learn - How to grow flowers.
Art - Decorate your own plant pot (a video of me demonstrating and suggesting alternative pattern ideas).
Activity - Plant your own flowers or seeds and play a “what have you learnt” Kahoot! Game.

How Learners will Interact: Learners interact with one another through sharing pictures or videos of their artwork, finished activities and commenting on classmates’ posts.
