In this Flexible Class you will draw and paint animals over a period of 4-weeks, using a variety of techniques. Please note that this class does not meet live, it is a flexible class, so lessons are pre-recorded. If your child is below or above the age range that’s fine just let me know when you sign up. For younger children you may need to help them. Each week I will post my interactive classroom including an Art demonstration and information on creating the weeks animal. Finished art work should be posted at any time and feedback will be provided. Participation is encouraged to ensure proper understanding of the materials and to promote a sense of community in class. You can post polite comments on each others artwork. I will use demonstrate different techniques for you to try if you don't have any of the requested supplies just use what you do have, it may turn out slightly different than my finished pieces, but art is supposed to be unique. If you have a pet, I also give you tips on creating the finished artwork to look like your own animal/pet. Here is information on the artwork that you will create - ~ Draw and paint a Dog (Materials - Pencil, watercolor paper, Black permanent marker, Watercolors, Paintbrushes, Water & container, oil pastels or crayons). ~ Draw and paint a Cat (Materials - Pencil, Watercolor paper, watercolor paints or anything else you would prefer to use to color your cat, paint brush, black sharpie). ~ Draw and paint an Alpaca (Materials - White painting paper, liquid tempera paint, light blue chalk pastel, small and medium paint brushes, water and container). ~ Draw and paint a bird (Materials - Sheet of colored paper (I use blue but any color works) oil pastels, watercolor paint, brushes, water and container).
