Art With Miss Una: Create Colorful Folk Art #Creative (Flexible Class)!

Folk art is an artistic tradition from many different cultures.  I will be focusing on the expressions of folk art from Europe, mainly from the Scandinavian region.  Which is bright, symmetrical and has repeating elements. 

Each week I will post one or 2 videos on how to create a folk art masterpiece, I will add extras to the drawings and show different coloring/painting techniques. Your child can watch and create when convenient for you. The video can be rewinded and watched over.

There will also be an interactive google art classroom, your child can click on it and see various things.

I will assign a fun puzzle, to show what you have learnt.

If any extra help is needed I will be available for questions via email, my usual response time is 24-48hrs.

Each week your encouraged to post your artwork to the classroom.  The rest of the class will see each other’s work and can make polite comments.

Folk art is very colorful and fun, plus it's therapeutic adding the designs.

Week 1 - Learn how to create Folk Art Designs, Folk Art Dinosaur (white or colored paper, pencil, black sharpie, watercolor paints, or anything you would like to color with).
Week 2 - Folk Art Swedish Horse (colored paper, I used blue and pink, oil pastels, pencil, glue stick, scissors).
Week 3 - Folk Art Fox (Red or white paper, black sharpie, markers).
Week 4 - Create a gift card with a folk art design on (various pieces of card stock, I use white and red, black sharpie, I use a variety of these - markers, chalk pastels, watercolors, crayons).
