Description
Class Experience
This one-time art class is designed for learners to practice their drawing skills by following step-by-step instructions. This class teaches students how to draw a fun cartoon of Baby Yoda (Grogu) from the Star Wars TV show "The Mandalorian." We will focus on size, orientation, and placement of simple lines and shapes to create a completed cartoon character. To finish, we will color the drawing and bring Baby Yoda to life. At the beginning of the class, I will be demonstrating the steps to...
This class is taught in English.
Learners will: • Complete a pencil sketch of the Star Wars character Baby Yoda following step-by-step instructions. • Outline the drawing with a pen, sharpie, or fine point sharpie if they choose to do so. • Finish a completed colored cartoon using any coloring supplies the learner prefers.
I am an artist, and have been drawing since I was a young girl. Cartoons are one of my favorite things to draw.
There is no homework required outside of class. However, if students do not finish coloring their drawing during class, they are encouraged to finish working on it on their own time. They are also welcome to send photos of their completed drawing to me privately, or to post them in the classroom. I love to see my student's work and praise them for their efforts.
All learners will need a sheet of blank printer paper or drawing paper, a pencil, and a good eraser. Students may want to outline their drawing with a pen, sharpie, marker, or fine tipped sharpie. If learners wish to color their drawing, they will need their own choice of coloring supplies. Markers, colored pencils, crayons, or water colors are all great options for coloring their cartoon.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
