Each week in this basic beginner level art club students will create an exciting, new masterpiece! This Art club will include simple directed drawings. We will begin class with short introductions. Then there will be a new directed drawing each week. The students will be lead step by step through a drawing. While my directions are detailed, I also encourage students to add their own unique details to make their artwork truly their own. Our goal is to have fun while flexing our artistic muscles! I love exploring the art world with my students and helping them to find their own artistic voices. The motto in my classroom is "there are no mistakes in Art", and I want every student to leave my class feeling like a successful artist! Students are encouraged to add their own creative flair to each project. As students work, I always make sure to provide feedback, encouragement, and additional instructions as needed. At the end of class our young artists will have the opportunity to share their artwork with their classmates. Although each demonstration will be finished by the end of class, students may want to continue working on their masterpiece after class. Everyone works at a different speed, and it's better to take our time than to rush! If time allows the teacher will provide an extension activity. Extension activities may include but are not limited to: a story on the theme, or slides on various art topics. No prior knowledge of Art techniques are needed for this drawing class. If this class interests your learner please sign up for the class. I'll take the slot and teach even if it's just one learner. I am excited to meet your learner!
