Class Experience

In this 5 week flex course we will learn about the Elements of Art! I will be demonstrating the projects and techniques in a series of step-by-step videos & slideshows posted at the beginning of every week.  Students will explore a variety of media.

Week 1: Looking at Line!  In this assignment we will learn several zentangle patterns and complete an artwork using these patterns. 

Week 2: Color & Shape Fun!  This week we will learn about the color wheel.  I will demonstrate a project where...

Students will create art and learn about the Elements of Art!

None assigned.  All students work at their own pace and may need additional time to complete the drawing assignments.

1. Drawing paper 
2. Water color or heavy paper
2. Ruler
3. Pencil
4. Black permanent marker
5. Colored Pencils or marker set
6. Watercolors
7. Model Magic Clay- a 4 oz bag will make two pinch pots. You can find on amazon, Walmart, Target and craft stores.  I purchased a    4oz bag at Target for $3.49

The leaner will be assessed with informal feedback. Each week I will ask students "What are you most proud of in this week's work?" and "What would you work on/rework if you had time?".  Students are welcome to inquire for feedback on specific drawings.
