This one time class is all about using your hands to create Christmas decorations and ornaments. If your student enjoys origami, creating paper sculptures or just loves to be crafty they'll enjoy this class. In this holiday crafts class students will have the opportunity to decide which projects are created once we enter the classroom. The number of decorations or objects we create will be based on the complexity of the objects chosen and the pace at which we can all create together...

Stephanie is a k-12 art educator, artist and arts in healthcare professional. As a Mom, art teacher and one believes in the magnificence of Christmas, she's been creating Christmas art projects and leading Christmas art camps in local galleries for a long time and looks forward to her leading here first Christmas camps on Outschool.
12x12 scrapbook paper copy paper cardstock or construction paper wooden bead (natural) or other similar object small pom-poms or sequins scissors glue sticks pencil clothes pins or paper clips brads (2-4) markers, crayons or colored pencils thumb tack Note: Students should be proficient at creating an accordion fold and using scissors on thick folds before enrolling in this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Once enrolled the classroom will be updated with photos of possible projects and any measurements for specific paper sizes required. Parents please note: students should have proficient scissors skills be able to create an accordion fold (paper fan) OR have an available & willing adult nearby who can help if they get stuck (I will walk everyone through the process, but can not spend significant amounts of class time teaching this basic folding technique)
