This 3 part class students will discover art as a mindfulness technique pattern and repetition to center and calm themselves.

Class experience

Stephanie is an artist, art teacher and arts in healthcare professional with 20+yrs of experience working with learners of all ability levels to build confidence and understanding about the world around us through art.
Week 1: 
8x11 or larger white mixed media or watercolor paper
watercolor 
brush
small container of water

Week 2: 
8x11 or larger white mixed media or watercolor paper
crayons or oil pastels
watercolor

Week 3:
8x11 or larger card stock or mixed media paper
1 color fine point marker & broad tip marker (ex. 1 black fine point, 1 black broad tip marker)


*Please note, occasionally I run this class as a camp (particularly during winter break to equip kids with new skills for the 2nd half of the school year) in which case Week 1-3 become DAY 1-3 all occurring in the same week. 

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Please note this is a class in which mindfulness plays a significant role. Students will work quietly being guided to notice their breath, sounds around them and even nuances in their facial features as they work. headphones or a quiet space are recommended. Additionally please note your session schedule some sessions for this class are 3 days back to back some are 1 class for 3 weeks.
