Welcome to Art like the Artist. In this class students will learn about a different artist every class, and have a chance to create an art piece inspired by the artist! Each week, we will spend the first part of class discussing and learning about the artist, who they were , when they lived, what life was like for them, and the style and type of art they made. The second half of the class will be dedicated to an art project created in the same style as the artist we are covering. This...
Students will gain knowledge on many different artists, and new skills and techniques on creating in a myriad of artistic styles.
I am a music educator and home educator. I have spent the past 14 years working in education in different capacities. The majority of my work as a teacher and home educator has been in art history, writing , and music. All the topics I have always loved to learn about I hope to continue to inspire students to learn, make and create Art in one form or another!
There are no pre-requisites for this class.
A syllabus will be provided with the materials needed for each class.
