This class is a fun and easy introduction to oil pastel (or chalk pastel) blending and texture backgrounds. I will show my finished artwork at the start of class as a reference. We will discuss all the art supplies needed to create a peeking cat painting. I will give a step-by-step drawing lesson to sketch...

Oil pastel coloring, blending and texturizing techniques to create a beautiful oil pastel painting.
Chalk pastels or gel sticks can be substituted for oil pastels.

Mixed media paper, pastel paper, watercolor paper are best but smooth paper can be substituted.
Oil pastels (or chalk pastels or gel sticks) for children. (water soluble)
Q-tips, blending stubs or use fingers to blend.
Paper towels or baby wipes for clean up.

Child safe plastic painting palette knife only. (No kitchen knives please.)
