Students will be inspired by history and the paths well known artists have walked before them They will delight in the curious stories of these artists lives and enjoy learning how these characters became artists and how they were also signifiant contributors to society in their time. Students will also learn what it was that made each of these artists distinct, from the perspective of the art they created Students will also become confident in trialling many different techniques through applying these to their lives today, in the form of art journalling and recording
Each week I will ask students to research other artists within specific movements we cover. This will not be mandatory but will hopefully help to continue to broaden their perspective on art history.
Pencils and pens Paints (watercolour/ acrylic) Art Journals Ruler Eraser Collage paper/ old magazines Glue and scissors I will advise each week ahead of the week within the classroom description what we require for the following week.
There will be no assessment however I will send weekly feedback to parents.
