Geometric drawing reveals the beauty and perfection found in math. This is an interdisciplinary class bringing together art, math and history. We will have time for discussion, reflection and hands-on practice. Students will discuss whether or not perfect circles are actually found in nature. They will listen to an entertaining story of a Renaissance painter, learn about concentric circles and practice freehand geometric drawing. 2 files available upon enrollment* Needle * Thread (up to four colors) * 1 sheet of A4 cardstock or construction paper (we will be poking holes with a needle) * Surface such as cardboard, foam or a folded towel to be able to poke holes without damaging student's desk * Ruler * Unlined paper * Tape
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
