In this art course, students will learn about world-famous artists: Andy Warhol, Picasso, W. Kandinsky, Van Gogh, and Jim Dine. Each day we will talk about one artist and his art style (pop art, cubism, abstraction, impressionism, modernism) and we will look at the artist's most famous paintings. There will be a short lesson on each artist and slides will be used as visuals. After that, students will be guided to create their own artwork inspired by this artist. I have an Art Teaching credential.
No homework but students may want to spend a few minutes after class finishing up.
White paper, pencil, pencil sharpener, something to color with such as crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Optional: oil pastels, watercolors, black construction paper to mat their artwork.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
