Class Experience
In this 5 week flexible schedule class we will learn about 5 different artists (Warhol, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinsky, Dine) and create art pieces that are inspired by their work. We will talk about their genre of art, create pieces to be proud of, and learn about the artists through a brief biography of the artist, fun facts and discussions about the artists. Students will learn about famous artists. Students will learn art skills. Students will learn art vocabulary. Students will enhance their communication skills.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in History. I have a teaching credential in Art and a Masters in Education.
- Thicker white paper or watercolor paper - Pencil with eraser - pencil sharpener - ruler - Black permanent Sharpie marker (must be a permanent marker) ultra fine tip and fine tip - Oil pastels and/or crayons - Watercolor set - A variety of paint brushes - cup for water - Paper towel Optional: colored pencils, markers
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will be embedding Youtube videos throughout the course (all my own videos created specifically for this class.) Outschool embeds the link on its platform so that learners remain on the Outschool platform and don’t access the YouTube website.
