In this 4-Week series, students will learn about life and style of famous pop artist, Wayne Thiebaud! Students will learn some drawing a and painting skills while they make a series of three sweet works using a variety of materials.

Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn skills in drawing, watercolor, and oil pastel.  They will also receive some art history theory surrounding the pop art style of Wayne Thiebaud!
I am a certified K-12 Visual Arts teacher.

**If you'd like to display the three pieces from this class, they would look lovely behind a frame! You can buy cheap frames at Dollar Tree in 8x10 or 8 1/2x11. Or, they can be glued down onto a piece of tag board in a row either horizontal or vertical and cut down for a nice series look! Week 1: *printed/viewable attachment mixed media paper or oil pastel paper pencil/eraser ruler oil pastels baby or cooking oil (optional) q-tips (optional) Week 2: *printed/viewable attachment oil pastel cake from last week baby or cooking oil (optional) q-tips (optional) mixed media or watercolor paper pencil/eraser watercolors (any kind) container of water paper towels medium round pointy brush (soft) tiny/small round pointy brush (soft) medium flat brush (soft) Week 3: *printed/viewable attachment watercolor cupcakes from last week watercolors (any kind) container of water paper towels medium round pointy brush (soft) tiny/small round pointy brush (soft) medium flat brush (soft) white watercolor, white chalk/chalk pen, or white paint pen (optional) mixed media or drawing paper pencil/eraser colored pencils Week 4: *printed/viewable attachment ice cream sketch from last week pencil/eraser colored pencils your choice: crayons, soft pastels (not oil), colored chalk
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I do not have an official grading system.  However, if you'd like an Art History grade for this class, please let me know and I will work with you!
