In this subject there are topics that could be disturbing to children. As a teacher I hope to focus on the fact that we learn so much from Pompeii as sight of an ancient city where people actually lived their daily lives. Of course I will discuss the volcanic eruption and do my best to make sure that I am sensitive to subject matter that could be scary or disturbing. One fact to mention is that the volcanic eruption was a rare occurrence and certainly does not happen every day. Even so it is important to bear in mind the magnitude of such topics such as death and or frightening occurrences.
