Description

Class Experience

Students will be introduced to different artists and art movements.
Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression, artistic decision making, and fine motor skills.
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I fell in love with art history with in college, and want to share my passion and knowledge with my students. I strive to do this by fostering meaningful conversations about the artwork, creating unique projects, and presenting them in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways.
Materials needed almost every week:
Drawing paper
Pencil
Eraser

Other materials used throughout the course:
Drawing- crayons, colored pencils, markers
Watercolor- watercolor paints, paintbrush, cup of water, paper towels
Painting- acrylic or tempera paint, paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towels, paper plate or something to use as a pallet
Paper Collage- colored paper, scissors, glue
Mixed Media- paper, drawing materials, yarn, paint, scissors, glue, patterned paper

An exact supply list for each week will be posted in the classroom at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners must be comfortable with using scissors. If not, they will need adult help.
