Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 12
Important Notes: All of my classes are inclusive and welcome the neurodiverse child. CEFR: B1-B2 or above. #academic In this kid-centered, fascinating and culturally enriching class, Learner will travel from ancient times to modern day discovering the many toys with which children have played throughout thousands of years from ancient Egyptians, Greek, Romans, Indians, as well as Asians, Africans, Europeans, Australians and Americans. Class will include world geography using our globe and a highlight of each culture to bring it all under context. The class is structured with an introduction, a colorful slide presentation, exchanges, and Q&A. Teaching style is kind and inclusive, emphasizing love for learning through captivating discovery. Learners will interact with teacher and each other throughout the class. For these reasons and for gauging Learner's interest level and to be able to adjust accordingly, I require open mics and video in my classes so there is a sense of community and engagement with the material. Class size is kept small to allow for comments and vital curiosity. This class is one of a group of history classes, which may be taken as a complete group, as in a camp format, or separately. No previous experience is required.
