Class Experience
Have you taken my Art History 101 class as an ongoing class, but prefer to do this at your own pace? Times don't work for you with the ongoing course, no problem! This is the class for you. This class will have a similar structure to the Art History 101 Ongoing class, but has different activities and themes. In this FLEX class, we will utilize different activities and ask ensure critical thinking. ** Weekly posted are uploaded at Monday 9am EST, and will be due by the following Friday at midnight, EST** Week 1: Introduction: Why Study Art? Why Look at Art, Art History Knowledge Icebreaker, Art Style Vocab Week 2: Featured Artist: Edward Degas, Edward Hopper Week 3: Art Movement: Harlem Renaissance, Art Deco. Week 4: Share your favorite Artists/Movement. Students can either pick ONE artist or movement to write an report on. (Assignment has to be turned in by Sunday at Midnight). I will send out a list of Artists and Movements beforehand, and there will be other artists or movements on there I will not cover in class, but students are encouraged to do whatever artists or movement speaks to them. Rubric will be provided, but no grade will be assigned. This will be a good chance for students to utilize their vocabulary that they learned in Week 1. I will send out Kahoot Quizzes or Blooket Review so students can review on their own time. I will also add polls or exit tickets at the end of each weeks lesson to gauge understanding.

Hi everyone! I’m Mrs. B! I have an BA in Public History, I currently work at a high school teaching AP US History! I have worked with kids of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities!
I offer a variety of different classes, and if you have a special class request in mind, please message me! My philosophy is that learning should be fun, engaging, and interactive! I am always looking into new ways to make an otherwise "boring" subject, fun!
When I am not teaching, you will find me either watching a Hallmark movie, exercising, reading a good book, or brain storming new class topics!
