This class is designed to support a student’s exploration of their creativity while also teaching them the basics of art. This will be done by switching between two classroom subjects: the basics of art and the students’ chosen topic. These topics can be anything art related and examples of what has been requested by students thus far includes: caricatures, foxes, portraits, 3D letters and making a vtuber model (3D anime character used by youtubers). I want to enable the learners to grow...
Learning Goals: - The basic elements of art - How to realistically recreate what we see - Basic techniques in multiple art mediums - Whatever the students really want to learn - To have fun!
I am an artist and professional designer who has been painting/drawing for as long as I can remember. I am always looking to grow and as such I have sought knowledge both in official classes and online resources.
Students are encouraged to continue their art projects at home if they want, but it is not required.
Paper Pencil Colored Pencils Watercolor paint Black Ink Pen Sharpie/Black Marker Whatever is required by the student chosen topics. Students will be aware of the materials needed before class. If a student cannot get a material we will find an alternative for them.
Feedback will be given to the students throughout the class as we work on the lesson and projects together.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
