Students will learn and continue to improve their proficiency in a variety of art making skills and techniques
Stephanie is a k-12 certified art educator and arts in healthcare profession who has been teaching children and working with dementia care residents for over 20 years. Creating fun, engaging art experiences that are age appropriate and confidence building is her specialty, she'll use these skills to make art the most exciting and fun class of the week!
The first week's specific supply list will be uploaded Saturday before class begins. Each week specific supplies will be uploaded thee weekend before class for the following weeks activity.

Below is a list of general art supplies you can expect to be used and should try to have on hand.

Please note, Stephanie is highly proficient in creating alternative options for kids who do not have access to the supplies listed.

watercolor or mixed media paper
copy paper
brightly colored construction paper
glue stick (I highly recommend UHU glue sticks)
scissors
black paper
colored tissue paper
white glue
washable markers
permanent black marker
crayons / oil pastels
chalk / chalk pastels
paint brushes, foam brushes, daubers in a variety of sizes
watercolor paint
washable tempera or acrylic craft paint (please not acrylic is difficult at best to wash out of clothing) in a range of colors including black and white

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Age range is suggested, but all are welcome to create at their ability level. Session 1 will run multiple times a yr, if you have completed session 1 please enroll in session 2 or 3 as they build upon the learning in session 1.

Every session will build upon the knowledge of the elements of art and media skills throughout the year. Each week will feature a different piece of inspiration artwork or artist. Although some bits of information may repeat, art projects, inspiration works and creative engagement activities will not.
Stephanie will use art images and artists photos complied together in short slide shows or documents to share when introducing elements and showing examples.
