30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this fun half-hour class, I'll show learners how to create a simple movable "talking" puppet out of one folded piece of paper, with just a simple cut. I'll be guiding them step-by-step, with a camera on my hands, how to fold, cut and then put together this simple, entertaining puppet! Quick, easy, and lots of laughs. Learners will leave with at least one and possibly more of these, and will hopefully be teaching family members how to make them later! For success in this class, students should be able to fold and cut independently. My teaching style is interactive - I love when students share their work - but never force them to. I don't lecture and I encourage participation - and always make sure students are following along! Towards that end - I highly prefer that students keep cameras on during class, so I know if they're getting it or not! Supplies are simple - please check the "Learner Supply List" section. A few Outschool rules of note: -I must verify learners with cameras on (and as mentioned above - I really prefer they stay on so I can interact more directly with them) -Parents may be nearby to assist, but must not appear on camera. -Siblings/friends may share a camera, but ALL participating students must be individually registered. If two kids attend together, parents must register each learner separately! Please write with any questions. I hope to meet you soon!

Parental Guidance
We'll be using scissors in this class. Please make sure your learner can handle scissors on their own, or be nearby to help (though we won't be doing tons of cutting).
Supply List
Construction paper - a few pieces (please make sure it is CONSTRUCTION PAPER instead of printer or copy paper - it's easier to make these with heavier-weight paper) - and possibly a few pieces in different colors, in case you want to collage (totally optional). Scotch tape (or other easy-to-tear tape) Scissors Something to draw with: markers, crayons, colored pencils Optional: glue stick in case they want to glue on smaller bits for additional decorating
