In this 8 lesson course we will create woven projects! I will be demonstrating the projects and techniques in a series of step-by-step videos. In this class we will make a wall hanging, wallet & vessel. No prior knowledge is needed. Most of the skill needed to complete this project is yarn wrapping & weaving. Most supplies can be found locally. I have included links to the materials I will be using in my demonstration as well. Lesson 1 Woven Wall Hanging: This week we will start our wall hanging. Students will create and set up their cardboard loom. Once the loom is set up students will weave their weft strings. Lesson 2 Woven Wall Hanging: Students will finish their weaving the weft strings. I will demonstrate how to remove from the loom. Lesson 3 Woven Wallet: Using the techniques from the wall hanging we will expand and create a 3D functional item- a wallet. This week students will create their loom. Students will start weaving their pocket. Lesson 4 Woven Wallet: Students will complete the pocket weaving. Lesson 5 Woven Wallet: Students will weave the top flap. Lesson 6 Woven Wallet: Students will remove wallet from loom and attach button to complete wallet. Lesson 7 Woven Vessel: Students will create a bowl or vase by cord wrapping & stitching. This week students will learn how to start the vessel and wrap the base. Lesson 8 Woven Vessel: Students will wrap their walls and complete the vessel.
