Class experience
In this 4 lesson course, we will create dessert art! Each lesson I will post a video demonstrating a guided lesson! Students can personalize their background and make creative choices. I will show students several examples to help with the brainstorming process! No prior knowledge is needed. Week 1Lesson 1Cupcakes in Colored PencilIn this lesson students will create a color pencil drawing of a cupcake. Students can personalize and make choices in color and style. We will work on value & shading in this lesson as well.Week 2Lesson 2Ice Cream in Oil PastelIn this lesson students will create a color pencil drawing of a ice cream cone. Students can personalize and make choices in color and style. We will work on value in this lesson as well. This lesson value will be more about coloring blending and building since we will be using oil pastel.Week 3Lesson 3Donuts in Acrylic Paint: Part 1This will be a two part lesson where students will creating creating decorative donuts in acrylic paint.Week 4Lesson 4Donuts in Acrylic Paint: Part 2This will be a two part lesson where students will creating creating decorative donuts in acrylic paint.
Students will create dessert art in a variety of mediums.
1. Drawing paper: 8.5x11 printer paper is fine 2. Black Marker 3. Color pencils 4. Pencil with eraser 5. Basic acrylic paint set: colors used in demo grey, light brown, white and whatever colors you want frosting & sprinkles to be. 6. Heavy weight paper like cardstock or canvas board 7.
