In this 8 lesson long course, we will create a new illusion each lesson! Videos and slideshows demonstrating projects with any printable worksheets students may need. Students can personalize their art and make creative choices. I will show students several examples to help with the brainstorming process! No prior knowledge is needed. Students have the choice of media-markers, watercolor or color pencil will all work for these artworks. I will be using pencil, marker & color pencil in my demonstrations. Lesson 1: Sunburst Illusion- This lesson students will use color and pattern to create an illusion. Lesson 2: Hole in Floor Illusion- This lesson students will use black and white paired with shadow to create an illusion. Lesson 3: Fractured Circles- This lesson will focus on pattern to create the illusion of a fractured circle. Lesson 4: Endless Loop- This lesson will focus on color pencil blending to create an illusion. Lesson 5: Vortex In this lesson student's are trying to create an an illusion of space. Lesson 6:Anamorphic Cube In this lesson students will create the illusion of an 3D cube on a 2D surface Week 7: Anamorphic "A" In this lesson students will create the illusion of an 3D A on a 2D surface Week 8: Double Layer Illusion Drawing This lesson students will use skills from other lessons to create a layered illusion.

I have taught high school art for 18 years! Last year I had the opportunity to teach middle school students remotely and loved it! I have taught a variety of courses over my career such as: Fine Arts 1 & 2, Introduction to Photography, Pottery 1 & 2, Introduction to Jewelry, Introduction to Crafts, Introduction to Sculpture, Design 1 & 2.
I believe creating art is a process. It takes making a mess, mistakes and trying again! Creating art is a method of communication with the world!
When I'm not creating art, I love cooking, reading, spending time with friends & family!
