Class Experience

In this 4 lesson course we will learn about creating double exposures using Snapseed! I will be demonstrating the projects and in a series of step-by-step videos & slideshows.

Lesson 1: Students will go on a color scavenger hunt! Students will use the images from the scavenger hunt to create a color isolated image. Students will create a photograph that isolates color in one area, leaving the rest of the photograph black and white. Great way for artist to create emphasis in their work!

Lesson 2: Students will learn about portraiture. Students will create a double exposure silhouette portrait!

Lesson 3: Students will take their knowledge of portraiture and create a "multiple me" photograph. The student will photograph themselves (or someone else) several times and create a tricky composite image!

Lesson4: Students will create an illusion photograph. They will use double exposure to place an image in a glass or jar!

I have taught high school art for 18 years! Last year I had the opportunity to teach middle school students remotely and loved it! I have taught a variety of courses over my career such as: Fine Arts 1 & 2, Introduction to Photography, Pottery 1 & 2, Introduction to Jewelry, Introduction to Crafts, Introduction to Sculpture, Design 1 & 2.

I believe creating art is a process. It takes making a mess, mistakes and trying again! Creating art is a method of communication with the world!

When I'm not creating art, I love cooking, reading, spending time with friends & family!
